I am writing to formally oppose this proposed cell tower installation. I am against the disruption of the natural scenic landscape and view-sheds that define the area. The proximity to residences also raises questions about radio frequency and health consequences. A cell tower in this location is in direct conflict with the area's character and will hurt property values. Filed

I’m opposed to the construction of a radio tower in the proposed location, near so many home owner’s, many with young children. If the goal is to improve emergency communications, more suitable sites should be explored. Acknowledged

I oppose the location of this tower. Too close to historic areas and private homes. We have good friends in the area who are holding off on the upgrade of their old home until this is resolved and we have been considering purchasing a home in the area near them but we will not seriously consider doing anything until this is resolved. If it’s really needed in the area find a spot where nobody can see it because nobody wants to see it. If anyone should make a sacrifice it should be the tower. Filed

We feel that denying the tower for secondary reasons is an affront to the dedicated emergency personelle who are striving to provide appropriate care and safety for the community and themselves. We support the tower project moving forward as soon as possible in the interest of community safety and well being. Acknowledged

In 2023 ITW gave TESTIMONY that "if required to reduce the height of this proposed tower as NRPC suggests, we could no longer meet the objectives" and "a 140' tower height is NECESSARY for meaningful co-location of commercial carriers". So, are we ok with a 120' obtrusive tower that won't meet the objectives for "public good"? 2 things: 1.We want a balloon test that includes the neighbors 2.We want the tower to be placed in a location that is less obtrusive to homes and Historic area. Communications in this area are subpar at best and need to be brought to a standard in which they provide safety to the community from an emergency response side as well as wireless. As landowner, Fire Chief and life long resident of this community I have seen first hand the difference poor communications can make when every second counts in making a difference in someone’s time of need. I strongly support this tower and look forward to the safety it will provide to this surrounding area. Acknowledged

I am a resident of Enosburg Falls and have long been frustrated with the poor service and communication as you travel VT Route 108 toward Bakersfield. Communications for emergency services and support personnel need crucial infrastructure that has been difficult at best in rural areas. In Enosburg we are currently without a contract for police coverage and communications is a key component in the potential for contracts with new agencies. I urge you to pass the approval for this tower. Filed

I am a landowner of an adjoining 200 acre property of the property for the proposed tower. This property is primarily woodland with a large camp. I find it is very dangerous hunting and working on my property as there is no wireless communication for emergency services or mobile telephones. I am consistently concerned when in the woods that should I have any issue, I would not be able to get help. I look forward to the safety that this tower will provide on my property and in the valley Acknowledged

I am opposed to the location of this tower due to its proximity to historic sites and residential homes. Filed

This proposed tower will be erected in an historic rural neighborhood and will change forever the aesthetic of a hillside in many people view shed, I am sure there is another location that will not impact a hillside and close neighborhood . I have live in this community for over 50 years , and would be saddened by this potential loss of habitat and peace. Yours Carol Crawford Acknowledged

This is an inappropriate pace of a tower in a close rural residential area. The historic neighborhood would be radically altered forever . I believe this is a short sited ill sited solution to an issue that significantly I Alters the countryside and could better be placed elsewhere. I am a longtime resident of the Bakersfield Enosburg community and I strongly oppose this proposed tower Adam Woods Acknowledged

I oppose this tower location. It is proposed too close to homes. With so many other location options, all residents could win. This is NOT a cell tower, there are NO cell providers signed up. This tower was already voted down once. The entire process & location of the tower is greatly flawed. Neighbors in the immediate vicinity should NOT have to sacrifice for the perceived community betterment when there are alternatives. With so many smart people involved it amazes me we cant do better. My young family's life will forever be altered if this tower is put right next to our home and the community we have called home now for a decade will be also, by the destruction of this rural hamlet. It is illogical to place so close to family residences when there are better locations for the public good. The argument for safety improvement is irrational when repeaters can go on silos along 108. Folks assume cell service will come of it when only 1 antenna space will be available. Filed

I oppose this tower proposal for the following reasons: 1) too close to adjoining properties where property owner has 720 acres to less intrusive location for the tower. 2) Independent review by Vermont Dept of public safety/radio technology task force necessary to ensure less intrusive solution/recommendation before proceeding. 3) How a single cellular provider addresses the general public good needs to be determined. At this time no carrier has been identified. Filed

I am a nearby resident and I am in complete support of this proposal. It is very challenging being in this area and not having access to Cell communications only Wi-Fi. Filed

This comment is to 100% and worst insulation of this much needed cell power and radio communications the sour inflation totally increase the cell service and radio communications in the northern end of our town of Bakersfield. As they select board member and assistant Chief to the Baker volunteer fire department we both totally this project and look forward to additional project within our service area of this type. Acknowledged

Expanding communication capabilities is a necessary step in providing heightened safety for our residents and first responders. We should strive to provide all available tools that help our residents feel and stay safe. Communication in an emergency is paramount. This technology already exists in Enosburg, on Birch Lane and Methodist Church, proving that decision makers have already deemed this technology safe and useful tools for our community. I support for this project moving forward. Acknowledged

I am in full support of this. Communication is key to trying to save a life. First responders and rescue can only do what’s in their power, and if they can’t communicate or get there fast enough because of interrupted communications or none, then a life can be at risk. I fully support this petition. Filed

I am a nearby resident to the site and am strongly in support of the proposed project. EMT services should have adequate communication in the area and we should be prioritizing expanding cellular communications in the area as well. If the proper effort can be put into understanding the environmental impact of this project, I am strongly in support. Filed
