Construction of the tower violates the Rochester VT town plan in the following areas: Rare/threatened/endangered Species, invasive Species, wetlands, Erosion, Scenic byway and possible health impacts. Other technologies have not been explored . Verizon has more coverage in the area then they indicated - making the tower less necessary, Concern with flooding and contamination of well water, septic tanks and runoff into nearby river.

The Rochester Town Selectboard and Planning Commission officials have stated in their letters to you that the proposed cell tower violates our town plan. Verizon's current coverage maps show signal availability in the areas which would be affected by this project. Other options exist for increased coverage without a ridgetop tower causing watershed and land damage. We expect the PUC to follow through on its requirement for substantial deference to town plans and deny this project. Thank you.
