The proposed 13.24% rate increase by Hardwick Electric Dept is excessive and burdensome to its customers. I'm opposed to such a steep increase. HED has been seriously mismanaged for decades, and has had far more outages than I've experienced anywhere else in the country I have lived. An ongoing and serious pruning schedule would save an enormous amount of the budget rather than constantly paying for emergency restoral. Hoping the new manager can improve things. The employees are polite and fine.
