The proposed site is not an option as RR/HP is an MU2 zoned area. The Select Board and Planning Commission made this clear to Verizon/Vertex based upon the strong and overwhelming negative response of 450 residents. Yet, Verizon/Vertex refused to take "no" for an answer arrogantly insisting"we can do what we want." This is the attitude of corporations that rule the world. The PC proposes alternate locations. For Verizon it's just $$$$. "Neighborliness" doesn't exist. See Pittsfield, MA example.

Manchester's Town Plan doesn't allow telecommunication towers in MU2 districts.Riley Rink at Hunter Park and surrounding fields are recreational in nature, with community, cultural/sports events and concerts, once home to the VSO. Verizon/Vertex's pic of simulated tower dominates the view sheds from every angle, ugly and out of character. Town PC proposes alternate sites - we welcome tower in the right location. 450 residents signed petition opposing this location, yet V/V dismissive, unyielding

The proposed tower will create unnecessary safety issues in a recreational area where children play. It would be a terrible eyesore for the many residencies in the area, including ours. The required red flashing lights will create a nuisance for all who see them. A cell tower may be needed but not in the site proposed. Why is Verizon being so indifferent to the needs of the community . Please don't you be. Make them find a less densely populated area.
