I would like to comment in favor of GMP's Zero Outages Initiative. Our small rural community of Athens experiences power outages from almost every big storm that comes through — 10+ a year. With no cell phone service in the area, these prolonged outages are difficult, especially to our elderly neighbors who might not be able to get help if they need it. The town appreciates the work GMP has already done to try to reduce outages and hopes it can continue according to this plan. Acknowledged

I encourage the Vermont Public Utility Commission to accept and advance Green Mountain Power's ‘zero outages initiative’. This program will not only improve the resiliency of our power grid, but have immediate benefits for the public users of the utility. The program will serve to not only modernize and stabilize our power grid in Vermont, but also contribute to the important task of decarbonization. Please support Green Mountain Power's efforts to improve the lives and futures of Vermonters. Acknowledged
