It is inappropriate and a misuse of EEU funds to support programs to promote the Burlington Electric district heat proposal, and, more generally, any plan/project that will increase the burning of wood. The PUC should work toward reducing the burning of wood for electricity and heat generation, not allow the increase of wood-burning and the resulting carbon. Rate payer funds have been used to initiate this district heating plan, this in an inappropriate use of rate-payer funds.
